About Us

Ekensbergsskolan is a small, well-functioning school with approximately 400 students from preschool class to grade 6.

The school is nicely built with a round building structure, and the classrooms extend from a large light hall located in the center. The light hall simplifies seeing and communicating with all students and adults during the school day. The school provides versatile teaching that mixes digital instruction with traditional methods to keep students' curiosity and creativity at their peak throughout the school day. All students in grades 1–3 have their own iPad, and grades 4-6 have their own computers. The achievement level is high among students, and we have an active and well-functioning work with values and ethics.

What Does the Job Entail?

We are urgently seeking a resource teacher for grade 4. The job involves establishing a three-teacher model in the two classes. You will participate in teaching as an additional teaching teacher alongside the two mentors. You will conduct and evaluate the teaching together with the teaching team. Furthermore, you will organize and prioritize effectively. In our school development, we focus on differentiation and a formative approach in our teaching, and we believe that collaboration is the key to both collegial teaching and an improved work situation for our educators!

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who:

• is a certified teacher for grades 4-6 with broad qualifications to teach
• is well acquainted with all parts of the curriculum and other relevant governing documents
• is familiar with digital tools that you use creatively in teaching as well as for your own planning, follow-up, and documentation
• has experience working as a teacher
• has experience working with children with challenging behavior
• has a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing.

We are looking for someone who can create situations where students become interested in their own contributions and can thus succeed in their schooling. Your leadership is rooted in the belief that all students can and want to develop. Your teaching is based on science and proven experience that enables you to create good learning environments (didactic, emotional, and physical).

As a person, you are clear and collaborate well with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are interested in driving students' development forward, you can capture their attention and create participation and motivation in various activities. You are a secure person with good pedagogical insight and perseverance who can lead groups or individuals. You are interested in being part of an already well-functioning team and contributing to the well-being and development of the municipality and the entire school.

More Information and Application

The position is a temporary position at 70% with 28 hours of teaching and 3.5 hours of trust time. Planning is done together with mentors. The position extends until December 2026 and may be extended if necessary.
